Negotiations between Wild GM Bill Guerin and restricted free agent star Kirill Kaprizov have reportedly taken an ugly turn, according to Minnesota Wild insider Michael Russo of The Athletic. In his current essay for The Athletic, Russo calls the issue as "contentious."
«As of now, Kaprizov, 24, has still not re-signed with the Wild, and things have suddenly become contentious again in negotiations that seemingly won't end despite Minnesota offering a player with 55 career NHL games $9 million a season.»
This need to get done ASAP! I know Kirill is still very young but he has proven he can be an elite player.
I understand the Wild perception of the deal but if they want him to be part of the core players. They need to lock him in and stop playing games.
