Montreal Canadiens prospect Kaiden Guhle had a two-part season. He first got his first taste of professional field hockey when he played three games, in which he made a very good impression, with the Laval Rocket. He then joined his junior team, of which he was named captain, the Prince Albert Raiders, playing only two games. The young defenseman injured his hand and had to end his campaign.
However, Guhle came back strong this summer at the Junior Team Canada camp in Alberta. He is so impressed with the team that he is even being considered for the position of captain for the upcoming World Championships.
When asked about the CH prospect on 91.9 Sports this Thursday morning, Team Canada assistant coach and Gatineau Olympiques head coach Louis Robitaille compared the defenseman to Shea Weber, a defenseman known to Montreal fans.
"He has a presence, he does everything right. On the ice he's a big guy, he's extremely physical, a good shot and he likes to defend, he likes to hurt the opponent, he's a great pick by the Habs." - Louis Robitaille
