Jonathan Toews was not happy with the Brandon Hagel trade
Following the trade of 23-year-old Brandon Hagel to the Tampa Bay Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews commented on the deal.
"If he's not a guy that's part of a rebuild, then I don't know. I don't know if anybody feels safe at this point."
Toews is right not to be happy, because it's certain his turn will come. On the other hand, you can't blame Kyle Davidson, the team's new GM, for going after two first-round picks and two established NHL kids.
Taylor Raddysh (24) is a year older than Brandon Hagel, while Boris Katchouk (23) is the same age.
In Tampa Bay, Julien BriseBois looks like a genius for acquiring a good young forward who excels in both directions of the ice at a $1.5M salary for yet another season, while in Chicago, the majority of the population is screaming loudly that this is quite a steal from Davidson.
