Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry has a lower body (lower back) injury. According to Max Truman of DansLesCoulisses, Petry could be out for the rest of the season with this injury.
Petry is in Brossard this week and will not be joining his teammates on the road. If at the end of the week the team doctors deem the injury serious, Petry could be reunited with his family quickly.
This situation would allow Martin St-Louis to play the team's young defensemen, including Justin Barron and Jordan Harris, who should join the team on the road in the coming days.
More details to come...
