Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake has been training at home in Fredericton, New Brunswick and gave an update on his summer.
« We have a great facility at UNB. I have a great group of guys to skate with and a great facility to train in, so I'm really lucky. I work with UNB's goalie coach Kyle MacDonald. He really understands my game. »
Allen is looking forward to getting to know the Habs' first overall pick in the last draft, Juraj Slafkovsky.
« We'll see what Juraj [Slafkovsky] has in store for us. I'm really excited to skate with him. He seems like a guy who is always in a good mood. That's the kind of thing that's great to have in a locker room. I'm looking forward to getting on the ice with him, and I'm sure he's going to beat me with some hard shots the first few times. »
Jake Allen will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2023.
