New York Islanders forward Casey Cizikas has been ejected from the Islanders' game against the Chicago Blackhawks. After rushing into the offensive zone, Cizikas put a shot on net, before skating right into Stalock.

This incident happened less than three minutes into the game, and the Islanders eventually killed off the five-minute major penalty allocated to Cizikas.

Stalock will not return to the game, and will be injured for an indeterminable amount of time. He was replaced by backup goalie Arvid Soderblom.
