This could be the final dance for the core of the Toronto Maple Leafs, because the time to win is now.
Obviously last season, having F Wayne Simmons and C Joe Thornton, the great veterans as they are, and a future HOF in Jumbo Joe, but it didn't work out for both players .

Wayne Simmons missed most of the season with an injury after taking the puck to the face, and was red hot from the start, but the injury, really set him back.
It wasn't just these two veterans who couldn't get it done; the Leafs' big boys also couldn't get it done when they needed it, because you can't go into a Game 7 at home against the last team to make the playoffs and only score one goal, and the only goal was scored with less than a minute left in the game.
This season could make or break the Leafs, because they have the right pieces to not only advance past the quarterfinals or semifinals, but also to reach the conference finals and the Stanley Cup Finals.
They just have to perform throughout the season, because Mitch, Matthews, Rielly only performed when the games don't matter, such as during the regular season.

Nylander had a strong first-round performance, and John Tavares was injured in Game 1 of the first round.

Kyle Dubas, the General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, will not hesitate to make a Major Shakeup since the time to win is now, and the roster has the right system to do it, and if we don't get it done, one or two of the big boys could be shipped out!
