As reported by the New York Post, the Blackhawks and the Rangers may complete a crazy trade. Brooks sees Patrick Kane joining the Rangers in New York.
Brooks sees New York putting together a package that might sway the Blackhawks. Although Kane has a no-movement clause, several close to him believe he would accept a Rangers offer.
Brooks said the transaction includes Kaapo Kakko, Vitali Kravtsov, Nils Lundqvist, and a 2022 first-round pick. This would reunite Kane with his all-time favourite linemate, Artemi Panarin.
This move has been discussed before, so Brooks may be onto something. Due to the strict salary cap, either the Blackhawks keep 50% of Kane's contract or the Rangers return one terrible contract to Chicago.
Brooks went on to mention this about the Rangers:
«The team is not complete. Fortification is needed. A defenseman or two will need to be added. Depth will need to be added for a long run in the tournament. And there is a need for a top-six right wing. That is the need that would be filled by Patrick Kane.»
Would Kane make the Rangers Stanley cup champions? Let us know below.
