Insider reveals Carey Price may leave the Canadiens very soon

Carey Price may be leaving the Habs before his contract expires, according to recent news.

And Marc Bergevin would never have traded him. He'd admitted it.

Now that Bergevin is gone, one has to wonder if Jeff Gorton will try to get rid of as many costly contracts as possible to free up some space.

Due to the lack of an 8-year, $84 million contract.

Moreover, the outstanding goaltender has previously proposed to be exposed to the recent Seattle Kraken expansion draught.

With Gorton's rebuilding experience and his handling of the trade of franchise goalie Henrik Lundqvist to New York, it's simple to understand why Price may be dealt.

Some prominent teams are keeping an eye on the Carey Price situation, according to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun. If he became available, he would be in high demand.
