According to The Athletic, Connor McDavid is no longer the NHL's best player.
The Athletic has revealed that the best player in the NHL is now Auston Matthews. WOW!
Matthews now has a higher projected GSVA and is on pace for a higher GSVA than McDavid.
This is hard to judge.
Matthews obviously plays on a better team overall and if he ends up winning a Stanley Cup and Mcdavid doesn't that will create a lot more discussion about the best player in the world.
In our opinion, Connor Mcdavid is still the best player in the world.
