According to Simon-Olivier Lorange of La Presse, the Anaheim Ducks have been a regular presence at Canadiens games for some time.
Yesterday, it was the team's GM, Pat Verbeek, who showed up at the Bell Centre.
« The Ducks are spending a lot of time at the Bell Centre these days. That's their GM." - Simon-O. Lorange
Verbeek certainly wasn't there to spy on the New Jersey Devils players, as the team is doing very well and won't be selling, at the trade deadline, barring a catastrophe.
For the past few days, the Ducks have been linked to the Habs in trade rumors and would like to add depth to the offense. Mike Hoffman, Christian Dvorak and Sean Monahan are reportedly eyeing DG Verbeek.
Why not Dadonov? Remember the famous story involving the Ducks and the Golden Knights at the last trade deadline?
Interesting file to follow in the coming days.
