The Montreal Canadiens will have to make a decision soon on several issues. The Seattle Kraken expansion draft will take place on July 21st and we can approximately target the player that will make the new team happy.

According to TSN reporter Eric Macramalla, the CH player that Seattle should select is none other than Jake Allen. The backup goalie to Carey Price will be very coveted by the Kraken, as he has a very legitimate contract, with a salary of $2.875 million until 2023.
He also believes that Marc Bergevin will have to make a deal with Ron Francis in order to keep Jake Allen in Montreal. A number two goalie like this is a big luxury that many teams cannot afford.
Jake Allen has built a solid reputation in Montreal this year. Without him, the CH didn't make the playoffs. Carey Price was injured for a good part of the regular season, so Allen was called upon to take over as the club's guide for a while.
In 29 starts, he racked up 11 wins, maintained a 2.68 goals-against-average and acquired a .907 save percentage. These are very downhill stats considering the quality of play in front of Allen.
