As we reported earlier yesterday, the Carolina Hurricanes have made a hostile offer to CH's Finnish forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi. A one season contract worth 6.1 million dollars.
The compensation that will go to the tricolore if they decide not to match Carolina's hostile offer to KK is a first round pick and a third round pick.
Many observers and fans are wondering what is the best decision to make in this matter and are wondering about all the impacts of this big decision for Marc Bergevin.
In his most recent episode 31 thoughts, Sportsnet reporter Elliotte Friedman opined:
"I sincerely think there's a real chance Montreal won't match this hostile offer."
Friedman adds that this is how business works in the NHL.
If you sign a hostile bid with an opposing player, there will be payback.
