Four NHL players placed on waivers

Today is the first day of the waivers and already four players have been placed by their teams.
First, the Colorado Avalanche placed Brad Hunt and Spencer Smallman, Richard Panik was placed by the Islanders and Michael Carcone by the Coyotes.
One name stands out and that's Richard Panik. The 31-year-old has played 521 games in the NHL and has 195 points.
His problem: his salary of $2.75M until the end of the season. For this reason, he will definitely play in the AHL next season.
