Former Maple Leaf leaves the NHL for good

After seven seasons in the NHL, 27-year-old Frederik Gauthier, a former first-round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2013 (21st overall), has signed a one-season deal in Porrentruy, Switzerland, with Hockey Club Ajoie.
The former Rimouski Oceanic played 178 games in the Bettman League with the Maple Leafs, Coyotes and Devils (13 goals, 18 assists, 31 points). He also played 264 games in the AHL.
