Former Montreal Canadiens scout Grant McCagg has proposed a trade to send Jeff Petry to New Jersey.
Here is his proposal:
To Montreal: 2nd overall pick in 2022
To New Jersey: Jeff Petry, Mattias Norlinder and the 26th overall pick in 2022
His argument is this: the Devils need to win quickly and they need good defensemen.
