Kyle Davidson, general manager of the Chicago Blackhawks, has made some significant waves to start his offseason by executing two huge trades during the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
It started with Alex Debrincat getting traded to the Ottawa Senators.
Then, the Canadiens got Kirby Dach from the Blackhawks by trading Alex Romanov and flipping the draft pick for him.
According to Pierre Lebrun, Patrick Kane and his agent released a statement following the trades:
Asked agent Pat Brisson about his client Patrick Kane and his NHL future in lieu of today's trades by the rebuilding Blackhawks. Brisson said they're not «going to make any decisions or comments at this point.»
