Fans Shocked As Gary Bettman Receives Major Award

When discussing NHL's Commissioner, Gary Bettman, it's fairly accurate to assert that he is not favored among the NHL fan base, particularly within the Canadian contingent.

Therefore, when news of Bettman's significant achievement broke, it's safe to say the number of fans ready to congratulate the Commissioner was not large.

Bettman recently celebrated a milestone as the longest-serving Commissioner in sports, marking 30 years as the NHL's boss. Today, the Sports Business Journal recognized his tenure and contributions by honoring him with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
