On Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman said on Sportsnet's Jeff Marek Show that the Anaheim Ducks were close to signing Eichel, but they were concerned about the artificial disk replacement surgery and how Eichel would react.
Friedman stated the return for the former Sabres captain was Trevor Zegras, Jamie Drysdale, and two first-round picks.
«Anaheim wouldn't do that.»
They couldn't imagine giving up that much for Eichel.
Thank god they didn't, in my opinion Zegras is as good as Eichel.
