Elliotte Friedman proposes an interesting trade for Brock Boeser
Sportsnet's insider Elliotte Friedman suggested, in his most recent 32 Thoughts, a trade between the Canucks and Capitals for Brock Boeser.
Friedman suggests that Anthony Mantha goes the other way.
"The team I wonder about for Brock Boeser: Washington. This is a personal opinion, but I wonder if a Boeser-Anthony Mantha move makes sense for both. The Capitals need a boost, and as GM Brian MacLellan said last weekend, they can't do anything financially unbalanced until the availability of Nicklas Backstrom is clear. Mantha's cap hit is slightly lower than Boeser's, and he's a year younger - which might interest Vancouver. Anyway, it's just a thought." -Elliotte Friedman
Mantha has 13 points in 28 games this season, while Boeser has 16 points in 20 games.
