According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Columbus Blue Jackets Russian defenceman Vladislav Gavrikov could be leaving Ohio soon at a very high price.
The price would be similar to the trade that sent Ben Chiarot to Montreal or even when David Savard went from Columbus to Tampa Bay.
Gavrikov, 27, is at the top of his game right now. The Blue Jackets' sixth-round pick in 2015 will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
In 33 games this season, he has nine points. His NHL career total is 72 points in 237 games.
One thing is for sure, a first round pick will be involved in such a transaction.
