It was today that Dominique Ducharme made his comeback to the Habs after spending the last 14 days in quarantine at home following a positive test for COVID-19. This Friday, Ducharme was back in front of reporters.

The CH pilot said at the outset that he was really looking forward to being back with his team.
"I was really looking forward to it. I've been looking forward to coming back for several days. When they told me July 2 for a return, I was looking at that date. I was looking forward to it. I'm happy to reconnect with the staff and the players. I want to continue this battle. "Dominique Ducharme
Ducharme also spoke about the fact that public health refused to increase the capacity of the Bell Centre for games 3 and 4. We remember that the Canadiens organization asked the authorities to increase the number of spectators present in the arena from 3,500 to 10,500, which was refused by the authorities. Geoff Molson commented on the decision.
"I find it very disappointing. We could have used this opportunity to reward people who have two doses or see it as a way to encourage vaccination. It was also a way to reward our supporters after 14 or 15 months in lockdown. We'll have 3,500 supporters inside and probably 25,000 outside, huddled together. It's hard to find the logic. "Dominique Ducharme
We can say that the head coach does not like at all, like many, the decision made by the public health. We can understand his frustration when a little more support in these difficult times for the club would have helped a lot.
