According to Michael Russo of The Athletic, former Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Julien was hired by the St. Louis Blues to attend the game between St. Louis and the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.
The objective was to scout players and also, to do some scouting.
Is this a permanent position or just a one shot deal? The story doesn't say, but everything indicates that Julien is not in a hurry to return behind the bench and is happy to accept small contracts here and there.
Remember that at the beginning of the season, he spent two weeks with HC Ambri-Piotta in order to advise them.
