The hockey world was shocked yesterday when 18-year-old London Knights player Abakar Kazbekov passed away suddenly.

He has played as recently as the night prior to his passing, which made it an even less expected surprise.

The London police confirmed the following details on the case:

"Around 8:20 a.m. members of the London Police Service were dispatched to attend the intersection of Dufferin Avenue and Talbot Street for a person that had reportedly fallen from the building," said LPS Const. Travis Buckle, "Officers arrived on scene and located a person who was deceased.»

The London officials added that there were no signs of foul play, and that the case would be treated as a suicide.

We wish the best to the Kazbekov family in this time of sadness.
