On Thursday night, the Canucks hosted the Arizona Coyotes, and during the game, a fan harassed Coyotes forward Phil Kessel.

This fan found it amusing that Kessel was associated with eating hot dogs, a claim made in a now infamous article by controversial Toronto writer Steve Simmons, who claimed Kessel ate the fast food treat almost daily. Throughout the game, the supporter would tease Kessel about hot dogs, as if on repeat.
He crossed the line and decided to toss the hot dog over the glass, hoping to hit the veteran Coyotes with it. Whether he struck the target or not, the fact that he did it alone is enough for the Vancouver Canucks to seek a ban from Rogers Arena and possibly even charges.
