Canadiens NEED a Top 4 Defencemen!

Montreal has a big hole on the left side of their defensive corps that needs addressing soon. In their top four the Canadiens are relying way too much on Jeff Petry, especially now with Weber being out for the season. Petry will want some much needed help, being the teams only two way defensemen and best puck moving defensemen. Even if Weber was healthy, he is not the same two way defensemen he once was in Nashville and the Canadian Olympic teams. He is a lot more of a stay at home defender now, with a solid first pass and hard slap shot.
Canadiens just need that one more player like Petry. With Romanov itching for a bigger role on this team, he and company can rounds out what would be this solid defensive corps.
Unfortunately, getting this magical addition is going to be a lot harder than usual. Montreal only has about $1 million in cap space with very little wiggle room even with potential players going on LTIR. There also isn't much on the free agent front. Only way this looks possible for Bergervin is via trade. That package would need to be a good one though since it doesn't look like there's any puck moving d-man on the trading block either.
One of their coveted top prospects, a high draft pick and a solid position player should do it for Bergervin. Who we all know isn't shy to make big trades like this happen, even more so when it's been a dire need for his team for quite some time now.
