According to a recent medical update, the news is not good for Columbus Blue Jackets star forward Jakub Voracek.
According to the team's general manager, Jarmo Kekalainen, Voracek may be retiring early after suffering another concussion, one of several in his career.
Kekalainen stressed that he is "more concerned about [Voracek] having a normal life" than his return to the game.
The 33-year-old Czech has played in just 11 games this season, recording one goal and six points. In his NHL career, the Czech-born player reached the mythical 1,000-game mark with 1,058 games in which he scored an impressive 806 points.
