Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin announced yesterday that he was temporarily leaving the team for personal reasons.
The star player announced this morning, via his Instagram account, the death of his father.
Today I lost my father ... I thank everyone for the support but please be understanding and do not disturb my family in this difficult time for us!
