On Thursday, when the Minnesota Wild coaching staff was extended, Foligno felt it would be amusing to mock the coaches. He has exploded in Minnesota the last two seasons, made some amusing media comments.
Announcing the extensions, Foligno quipped: «We were only searching for a thank you!»
Foligno was rolling and he wasn't done.
«Coaches prefer secrecy. I'm stumped. No more contracts. It's like 'stretched.' What is that? We don't get it. No one knows what they're doing?»
Obviously sarcastic, but that just goes to show how great a person Marcus Foligno is off the ice. The Minnesota Wild play the St. Louis Blues in the NHL Winter Classic on January 1.
