The Sea Dogs and Eagles were set to play a major QMJHL game tonight. However, everything was put to a halt after a head coach collapsed.

Sea Dogs Head Coach Collapses

During the game between Cape Breton and Saint John, the Eagles found themselves leading 6-0 at the start of the third period. However, the game was put on hold due to a major medical emergency.

"⚠️ Due to a medical emergency, tonight's game between the @SJSeaDogs and @CBEHockey has been suspended. More details to follow. #QMJHL"

As it turns out, this emergency happened to the head coach of the Sea Dogs, Tavis Crickard, who collapsed before being transported for medical attention. As a result of this development, the game has been canceled.

"Saint John Sea Dogs head coach Travis Crickard was conscious and en route to hospital after collapsing behind the bench in tonight's QMJHL game in Cape Breton. The game was called a final with 19:06 remaining in the 3rd period with Cape Breton leading 6-0."

While this may not be what fans of these teams were hoping for, we hope you can join us in wishing Crickard a speedy recovery.
