It's always sad when a young person passes away, especially ones who were thought to be in good health. Unfortunately, this young man lost his life following an incident at his practice, which prompted his coaches to seek out medical attention for him.
Remembering Kirill Kharlamov
While at a practice, 14-year old Kirill Kharlamov began complaining of difficulty breathing, and fell to his knees. Team doctors then administered CPR to the young boy while an ambulance was called to the site.
After Kirill was loaded into the ambulance, they started making their way to a hospital, but unfortunately the young man wouldn't make it there.
Kirill lost all of his vital signs while in the ambulance, and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Our hearts break on behalf of the Kharlamov family, and all of this young man's teammates. Kirill will not be forgotten, and his spirit lives on through the sport of hockey.
