Gary Bettman Caught in a Major Controversy After Being Exposed as a Liar

Everyone's favorite NHL Commissioner is back in the news, which is no surprise to anyone. The controversial NHL figurehead is now coming under fire for his claims that the head injury known as CTE has no relation to fighting in the NHL.

Player Agent Challenges Bettman's Claims

An equally controversial character, Allan Walsh, who represents some of the NHL's biggest clients, has taken it upon himself to disprove Bettman's recent claims about CTE.

Bettman seems pretty sure that CTE has no relation to fighting in hockey, but a little digging will prove quite the contrary. Allan Walsh was more than happy to provide the receipts for the evidence as well, further embarrassing Bettman.

It seems like at this point, Bettman would rather deny that the NHL has anything wrong with it, rather than acknowledge its shortcomings and improve them for the safety of the players.

While disappointing from Bettman, we can't say we're surprised. He's well known for this type of behavior, and has been since he took over as commissioner of the NHL.
