Zach Werenski has been rushed to the locker room following a gruesome knee-on-knee hit from Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway.

Werenski Heads To The Locker Room

In the second period of tonight's game between the Flyers and the Blue Jackets, Zach Werenski got the worse of a knee-on-knee hit from Garnet Hathaway.
Zach Werenski leaves the game following a scary knee-on-knee collision with Garnet Hathaway.

Hathaway was given a 5-minute minor for kneeing on the play.

Werenski is in the top five highest-paid defensemen in the league so if he is out long-term this could completely alter the Blue Jackets' season.
Hathaway was assessed a five minute major on the play and may be fined or even suspended for the play.
