Mitch Marner trade to the Winnipeg Jets: The ideal fan scenario emerges
Fans of the Maple Leafs have been taking to the internet to propose trades in an effort to retool the roster of their team that has had trouble making deep runs.

The one that has garnered the most attention on the site is a massive blockbuster trade that would see Mitch Marner traded to the Winnipeg Jets.

In this latest trade scenario, The Leafs would simply have to give up Mitch Marner to the Jets, and in return they would get Nikolaj Ehlers, Rutger McGroarty and a 2025 1st round pick. Both McGroarty and Marner have been at the center of multiple trade rumors lately, so it would make sense to see them swapped for each other.
Nikolaj Ehlers has also stated he is likely done in Winnipeg and has no intention of signing any long-term contracts there.
