Rick Bowness, head coach of the team, wasn't too comforting in his press conference. He stated that the defenseman was still being evaluated:
"Rick Bowness says Brenden Dillon is still being examined. No update at this time."
Dillon's teammate,
Josh Morrissey, seemed worried about him, calling the incident a "scary situation".
"#NHLJets Josh Morrissey was clearly shaken up as he came out to speak with us here in Denver. Asked about Brenden Dillon's injury, he called it a «scary situation»l.»
«We're all really concerned for him and hoping he's OK.»"
Dillon plays an important role in the Jets' defensive unit. Cuts can be long to recover from, and if the Jets don't make it past the first round, it would be surprising to see him back on the ice.
However, nothing was confirmed by the team, and once we know more, we'll keep you updated.
