A new signing last night by the Winnipeg Jets organization made history as the first female player in the history of the organization suited up in a game.

Winnipeg Jets Organization Makes History By Signing First Female

Last night an exciting event took place in the hockey world. The ECHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets needed an Emergency Backup Goalie (EBUG). Their EBUG for last night's game Mariah Fujimagari made Winnipeg Jets history by being the first woman to suit up for a game in franchise history!
Note: In uniform as the emergency backup goaltender for @NorfolkAdmirals in tonight's game at @RailersHC is Mariah Fujimagari. After attending training camp w/ @KalamazooWings, this'll be her first time on the bench for a regular-season ECHL game.
Fujimargi was an accomplished goalie in the former Women's Professional Leagues the NWHL and PHF. She also suited up for the SDHL in Sweden. Now she has also suited up for an ECHL game.
With Fujimargi on the list of EBUGs for the Jets affiliate for the remainder of the season it will be interesting to see if she gets an opportunity to be the EBUG again and get into a game.
