With the playoffs just weeks away, teams are looking to avoid injuries, but unfortunately the Vegas Golden Knights may have suffered some very bad luck.

The Vegas Golden Knights are already sweating on the returns of both Jack Eichel and Mark Stone ahead of their Stanley Cup defense, but on Sunday, it may be getting even worse. Despite a relatively routine practice, something went wrong with goaltender Logan Thompson after making a save, forcing him from the ice back into the locker room.
Logan Thompson has left practice with an apparent injury.

They are playing a 2 on 2 neutral zone game and Thompson stopped a shot and then hunched over. He got up and skated straight off the ice.

As you can see in the video, it appears as though Thompson is limping as he leaves the ice, and given how important your legs are in the game of hockey, this could be a brutal injury before the playoffs. In 2023-24, Thompson has a 2.72 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 43 games played, and while Adin Hill is no doubt the starter going into the playoffs, if they suffer any more bad luck, it could be the death sentence for their Stanley Cup defense.
We will update with further details when the Golden Knights comment on the injury, but for now, the front office, coaching staff, team and fans will all be sweating on the health of Thompson ahead of what should be a brutal first-round clash with either the Dallas Stars or the Vancouver Canucks.
