The NHL has its newest Stanley Cup Champions, the Vegas Golden Knights. The wildly successful expansion franchise has managed to win a cup in just their sixth season in the league, and that's no small feat!

Coincidence or Rigged?

Back in 2016, when the Vegas Golden Knights were still in the planning stages of their franchise, owner Bill Foley made a surprising comment on live television. The Knights owner said that he expected his team to win their first Stanley Cup within their first six years as a team, and they ended up doing just that.

While this is impressive, it has some fans wondering if there's more at play here.

NHL Rigged Cup in Vegas' Favor?

What are the chances that an expansion owner can perfectly guess when his team will win a cup six years in advance? We'd say those odds are slim to none.

While it's hard to come up with any concrete evidence that the Vegas Golden Knights had the Stanley Cup Finals fixed in their favor by the league, these comments certainly give that impression.

Do you think that Gary Bettman had the finals fixed so his shiny new toy could win a Stanley Cup?
