Every year, the Stanley Cup Champions get every roster player's name engraved onto the Stanley Cup to recognize their achievement.
However, after the Vegas Golden Knights have left out one player's name on that engraving list.
Vegas Do Not Put Forward's Name On The Cup
It was reported that the Golden Knights have decided not to include Nolan Patrick's name on the Cup, even though he was indeed on the roster.
Patrick did not play a single game this season and may never play another game in his career due to injuries, which led to his exclusion.
Since his diagnosis of hereditary migraine disorder after numerous concussions sustained throughout his hockey career, it has become evident that Patrick may never play another game in the NHL. If this is the case, it does put a dampening on the unfortunate end to his career, as a former second overall pick in the NHL Draft may never get to have the chance of hoisting the Cup for himself.
