William Nylander Reveals Why He Kept Wearing the Same Suit During the Panthers Series

Professional athletes are no stranger to having rituals or superstitions, as most players would tell you they do certain things before every game that makes them feel the most prepared.

Some hockey players eat the same meal, some listen to the same song, or put on their equipment in a particular manner. It might look or sound weird, but if it's brought them success, then why fix what's seemingly not broken?

William Nylander is no stranger to being superstitious when it comes to his game, and unlike his contemporaries, found his own unique and fashionable way to showcase his beliefs.

Dressed in all brown from head to toe, Nylander has worn the same suit for the past three games and has put on a tear in the process.

While there's zero science behind the explosion, sometimes the world works in mysterious ways. We saw Toronto get unlucky a lot on Friday night, so perhaps Nylander is trying to counterbalance things.

Although the star forward explained that while there may look like there's a method to his madness, it's more so just convenience if anything:

It's certainly one of the more unique ways for Nylander to bring himself luck, and we're just thankful that he hasn't decided to wear his lucky pair of briefs for a consecutive amount of time.

But whatever it's doing is certainly working. Nylander has six points in the Florida series (3G, 3A) and has a total of 15 points through nine games (6G, 9A).

Plus, he's known to be the fashionable one of the Maple Leafs, often showing up to games in attires that could double as a model shoot.

The good luck charm didn't end up working for the team as a whole on Friday night, though Nylander came out with yet another solid performance. Maybe the team needs to adjust their fashion ahead of Game 4.

It may look like a boring brown suit, but not only does Nylander rock it smoothly, but it's bringing him and the Maple Leafs a ton of success.
