In breaking news today, William Nylander is absent from the Toronto Maple Leafs practice ahead of game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

William Nylander has been in a bit of a slump heading into the Stanley Cup playoffs, however, that seems like it could be the least of Leaf fans' worries. Today, William Nylander was absent from practice for an unknown reason, just 1 day before the Leafs are set to kick off the post-season against the Boston Bruins.

This could prove terrible for the Leafs, even if Nylander is going to play in game 1. Unless this is for personal reasons, the Leafs need Nylander to be at 100% in order to contribute to the Leafs' plan of having a spread offence.

More details to come as Sheldon Keefe is set to explain the reason for his absence after practice.
