William Nylander Finally Responds to Anthony Stolarz's Fiery Post-Game Comments

After a tense weekend in Toronto, forward William Nylander finally addressed Anthony Stolarz's outburst and it sounds like the two have put things behind them.
That continued into the OT period when the William Nylander had a defensive lapse and gave up on a play that led to the game-winner from Josh Mahura.
Nylander Gives His Side After Stolarz's Emotional Post-Game Remarks
Speaking to reporters after practice on Monday, the star winger explained that he and Stolarz hashed it out, had a chat and while they are frustrated at their slow start, it's going to come together:
I think there's some frustration, maybe a little bit in the locker room. We know we can play better. I think our game's been growing, and we're still; what are we, 3-2-1 or something?
So, it is what it is, but we're a tight-knit group, and we'll move forward from here.
It feels less like the Maple Leafs have issues with each other and are more frustrated with themselves for how they have been playing and that caused everyone to be on edge a little more than usual.
Both Players Say the Team Has Moved Forward Together
Craig Berube essentially said the same thing and while he had preferred that maybe that frustration stayed in the locker room, he both had his goaltender's back and mentioned the team has moved past it; great signs all around.
But they are going to have their work cut out for them against New Jersey and will need a strong effort from top to bottom.
They can't afford any more mental lapses, and with the city riding high after the Blue Jays' World Series berth; they need to ride that momentum.
It's been a slow start for the Toronto Maple Leafs, but they are still looking solid with their game coming together more and more. Remember, this is a new group that is still trying to gel with each other, so patience is key.
Though if they don't get it together in the next few weeks, expect more closed-door meetings where perhaps you won't need the inside scoop to hear what's going on because it will be loud and clear.
