Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has tried to set the record straight after Anthony Stolarz lashed out after what he felt were some bad team efforts.

When Anthony Stolarz faced the media after facing the Seattle Kraken, few would have expected him to be so fired up and lay into his teammates for what he perceived as a severe lack of effort in protecting him during the game.
Coupled with an already scary incident involving having to make a maskless save, it was the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back and Stolarz was adamant that enough's enough.

Craig Berube Puts An End To Anthony Stolarz Drama

Craig Berube echoed those sentiments as well, and also sided with his goaltender that his team should have been better.
But he also wasn't to happy that things left the locker room, and told reporters after practice on Monday that things are over and done with, and everyone is on board going forward:
It's frustration, we all prefer it stay in the room, but it happens, but we've moved on from it.
It's a quick turnaround from Berube commending his goaltender for sticking up for himself, and it's clear he would rather just let sleeping dogs lie and not stir the pot any further.
Stolarz had every right to complain given that several Maple Leafs players had severe mental lapses that led to him being scored on, not to mention being run into twice; once thanks to teammate Brandon Carlo.
For the fans however, they aren't too happy that their coach is doing a bit of a 180 on his comments:
It felt like the team had moved past a lot of their drama after Mitch Marner had left the team, but it's clear that frustrations boiled over and Stolarz needed to vent somehow.
To be fair, he needs to be protected better and knowing that he went down from an elbow to the head in the postseason last year, it's nothing that can or should be taken lightly.
Toronto will have to do a much better job on Tuesday night against the New Jersey Devils, and need to prove to their goaltender they have his back after a pair of disappointing showings.

Should Craig Berube be more angry at the Maple Leafs players for not protecting Anthony Stolarz?
