Tonight the Toronto Maple Leafs have been forced to make an emergency roster move due to their latest round of injuries. The move sees a well liked player returning to the NHL for the time being.
Maple Leafs Make An Emergency Call-Up
The Toronto Maple Leafs have snuck in a roster move this evening before their game tomorrow. Sources have confirmed the Maple Leafs have called up forward Nick Robertson on an emergency basis.
With all of the injuries to the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup it looks as though Robertson will draw into the lineup on the third line. As of now he will play on John Tavares' wing on the pivotal third line.
Nick Robertson getting some third-line time with Jarnkrok out, with Tavares and Knies, while McMann moves up with centre Domi and Nylander. Robby also getting some second unit power play reps.
Things are subject to change before the Maple Leafs take the ice tomorrow night. The team is expected to have a morning skate tomorrow which would properly confirm the lines and Robertson's return to the NHL.
