Rumor: Brad Treliving To End Ryan Reaves' NHL Career For His Recent Comments
A new report from a person within the Toronto media has built up speculation regarding Ryan Reaves. The report claims Brad Treliving could put an end to Ryan Reaves' career with the Maple Leafs and potentially his NHL career as a whole.
After Ryan Reaves recent comments about his health many feel the relationship between Reaves and the team has been irreparably damaged. One source named Luke Fox from Sportsnet believes things have gotten out of hand.
So much so that Maple Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving could put Reaves on waivers putting his career in jeopardy.
While F Ryan Reaves has been activated off of injured reserve by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Luke Fox of Sportsnet believes he will be placed on waivers because of his comments made earlier this week.
There seems to be some issues between the two sides as of late, and this could spell the quick end of Reaves in Toronto.
If Reaves is placed on waivers another team would need to claim him for his NHL stint to continue. If not he would be forced to play with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL. Even then Treliving could control how much playing time Reaves gets in the AHL as well.
This situation will be fascinating to follow over the coming days. If Reaves is not put back in the lineup rather quickly this conversation will only get louder.
