While it is very early in the offseason, new Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving has the upcoming NHL Draft, free agency, and the rest of the summer to make a splash if he chooses to do so.

One Insider is linking Treliving to four names as potential trade targets.

According to Dave Pagnotta, these are the four names the Maple Leafs could target soon:

Who doesn't want a Scott Laughton on their team? Great depth at a cap hit of just $3 million per year for the next three seasons.

Again, great depth at a lowish price ($4.3 million per season for the next four years). Lawson Crouse has impact player potential, and that's why he's likely to be hard to pry away from the Arizona Coyotes.

Unless the Coyotes have decided to just throw in the towel for the next five years, trading Crouse doesn't make a lot of sense.

Dan Valder, Carter Hart

I've put Vlader and Hart together as both are goaltenders. With Matt Murray still on the books in Toronto, and Ilya Samsonov a restricted free agent, it only makes sense to grab one of these guys if Samsonov wants a big raise.

If he does, moving for Vlader or Hart seems reasonable. Hart is likely going to require a big return. Samsonov's qualifying offer is $1.8 million. He'll surely want more than that. How much, is the question.
