Max Domi scored a gorgeous OT winner against the Senators on Tuesday night, and was excited but focused afterwards when asked how he felt about being the hero.

With the Maple Leafs taking a commanding 2-0 lead heading into the nation's capital on Thursday, it became a night to remember for Max Domi.
Often one of the players criticized heaviest for his lack of offensive production, lack of defensive help, and potentially bloated contract; he must have felt proud to help his team get the win after so much backlash.
Tie, father of Max and former Maple Leafs enforcer ended up feeling pretty thrilled about the whole thing too, as cameras captured his celebration after Max deposited the winner.
It was a huge relief to see Domi not only get the monkey off his back, but do so in such a crucial point in the season.
But how exactly did the forward feel about things? Surprisingly, pretty reserved all things considered.
Domi admitted that the team isn't even close to scratching the surface of what they can do, and that can only mean good things for the team going forward, but also was reserved as well and was careful not to get too ahead of himself:
Big win, on to the next one now.
Domi now pushes his point total to five points in nine games; not terrible numbers for a player who hasn't seemingly done too much.
Was he perfect tonight? No, but no one really was. It was a tough game from start to finish, and while Toronto did their best to curb the Senators, they still were outshot and found constant pressure.
Guess it was a good call for Craig Berube to swap the lineup ahead of the game, and giving Domi his familiar line with Bobby McMann and Nick Robertson. While both men did end up minus-1, they did have five hits and two blocks; their time will come soon.
Toronto will head into Thursday's game as enemies of the state essentially, and with a raucous and potentially completely flooded Canadian Tire Centre (flooded with Sens fans that is), things won't be any easier.
But perhaps things will start to get easier, especially if Max Domi can get things started offensively. A dangerous Toronto team is a complete team, and we could see Domi added to the list of threats going forward.
