Matthew Tkachuk Goes After Mitch Marner at Final Horn
Florida was none too pleased with the fact that they are down 1-0 in the second round to the Maple Leafs, and maybe they took their frustrations out in a pretty awful way.
Well, of course they did. It is Florida, and with
Sam Bennett already taking out
Anthony Stolarz earlier on, it was up to Matthew Tkachuk to continue to dish out the nonsense.
As the game ended in the Leafs' favor, Mitch Marner got himself swung at by the Florida forward as he let things boil over into violence.
It's a terrible look for the Panthers, and it doesn't help their reputation as nasty players, and maybe Matthew decided to take the advice of his brother and maybe not necessarily go after the Maple Leafs' weak spots, but just go after them in the literal sense.
Tkachuk did get one assist on the night and did his best to pester the Maple Leafs, but they ended up getting the last laugh.
But don't expect the team to lie down and take Tkachuk's actions as a simple gesture of malice; they are going to be out for blood and it won't just stop at him.
Game two is going to be something that all eyes will be glued to the screen for that's for sure.
