Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe left Game One against the Florida Panthers for an unknown reason.

The Maple Leafs are taking on the Florida Panthers in a tough Game One in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday night.
But things didn't look too good for the home team at the end of the first as defender Jake McCabe was seen leaving the ice to the locker room and heading down the tunnel with an unknown injury.
There is currently no indication of what he is currently dealing with, though if it's anything serious that's no good for the Maple Leafs.
Turns out though, serious disaster was avoided as the defenseman simply lost a skate blade and rather get it tended to on the bench, went to the locker room.
If anything were to go wrong with McCabe it would spell potentially a big catastrophe for the team, given how important he is to the back end.
With the worst avoided, the Maple Leafs will continue to take their first game in stride, and have done so to great success thus far.
Up 3-1 at the end of the first period, they can't let the foot off the gas when it comes to making Sergei Bobrovsky's life miserable.
Two goals from William Nylander and one from Morgan Rielly have set the tone thus far, and it has sent the Maple Leafs crowd into a frenzy.
There's still a lot of game left, however so far the team is looking like a much more cohesive unit than the first time they took on Florida in the postseason.
But the fact that McCabe headed to the locker room certainly put a scare into everyone, and fans must have been panicking inside Scotiabank Arena as they noticed him headed to the back.
So far in the playoffs, McCabe has one assist, 15 blocks, and nine hits while averaging 22:31 TOI.
His pairing with Chris Tanev has been fantastic all season, but it's really in the playoffs where we can see how important they are.
But thankfully all is well in Toronto for now, and hopefully they can avoid any other major scares.
More details to come.
