The continuation of the ongoing Mitch Marner saga has led to fans trying to find any scrap of an idea of what the Toronto Maple Leafs future looks like as media reports have kept tight-lipped what Marner is going to do in free agency.

Although it's known that Marner is looking for a big payday, and he's likely to head to the open market July 1st, that isn't excluding Marner from a potential extension, leaving Leafs fans in limbo over how the team will look like heading into next season.

One notable player was not included amongst the photos shared from previous years by Toronto, Mitch Marner.

Marner was not included in the photo gallery, although he's not the only one to be excluded. Fellow pending RFA John Tavares is also absent.

It could very well be that the Leafs didn't include any players who currently in contract talks with the team and aren't signed beyond this season, as their status is up in the air.

There isn't any speculation about the lack of Tavares, although he's more likely to be back than Marner there aren't any questions being raised.

It's also quite unlikely for a social media admin to be in the know of where things stand between the Leafs and Marner unless a deal is done, and the team wouldn't secretly hide an indication he's not returning.

Toronto Maple Leafs fans seem they are end their end in the much uncertain status of Mitch Marner's future in Toronto, and looking for any evidence of what the next phase brings.
